Probanka d.d. was established in the year 1991. The idea of establishing the first private bank in Slovenia was born in the scope of the Slovenia 2000 project. Today, the Bank and its subsidiary companies employ over 300 professionals, and the Bank is present through its outlets throughout Slovenia or, more precisely, in seven regional centres, while a branch of the Group leasing company is located also in Croatia. Probanka d.d. focuses on more demanding customers and develops a complete range of financial services for them. For the most demanding customers the Bank combines personal and corporate finances with the aim of their optimisation. In order to make its financial operations more convenient to the client, Probanka d.d. provides easy access to its personal or corporate bankers, and offers user-friendly online banking and connections to financial and capital markets in the EU member states and beyond.   
Its development is focused on commercial and investment banking. In addition to standard banking products and services, it manages financial assets on capital and financial markets, it is an expert in takeovers and other corporate actions, in the issue of securities, etc. Through its vision it follows the goal of becoming the most recognisable mid-sized universal Slovene bank in the area of personal and private banking. The company Probanka upravljanje d.o.o. was established in the year 1994 and ranks among the largest asset management companies in Slovenia. It is a member of the Probanka Financial Group, which is also its 100 per cent owner. Probanka upravljanje d.o.o. is one of the few mutual fund management companies in Slovenia that manages assets of its investors in the same way as the assets of large institutional investors are managed. This means that it assumes care for the assets of investors by responsibly choosing equities and debt securities of promising regions and industry sectors, as well as other financial instruments from all over the world. The result of this are globally and actively managed mutual funds or sub-funds of the Probanka umbrella fund, with investments in both the developed and the developing markets. Opportunities in the area of leasing services encouraged Probanka d.d. as early as 1993 to establish a subsidiary company specialised in providing leasing products and services. Initially, Probanka Leasing d.o.o. financed mainly the purchase of vehicles and telecommunication equipment, but today the company offers sophisticated forms of financing which are not only limited to operating and finance leasing. We managed to link the leasing products with those of investment banking, insurance and crediting. As finance leasing is a very convenient instrument for financing complex projects, we have - parallel with the growth in the property market - developed project financing of  real estate construction as well as financing of projects in the area of efficient use of renewable energy sources.
